Biden’s Declining Economy

Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed that inflation continued rising to 8.3% in April (reaching a 40-year high) and the Produce Price Index (PPI) also increased by 11%. PPI reflects wholesale prices which eventually make their way to the wallets of consumers.

In worse news for average Americans, real wage growth is not keeping up with inflation.

Make no mistake about it: the current economic decline in America comes as a direct result of Joe Biden’s reckless economic policies.

Biden and his administration refuse to take responsibility for the disaster. Instead, they play the blame game. They blame Trump. They blame Republicans. They blame Putin. They blame corporate greed. Who they should blame is themselves.

Ironically, Biden blames Republicans for having “no plan on inflation.” He must have forgotten that he is President and that his party holds both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Now, there’s evidence that Biden’s American Rescue Plan of 2021 worsened inflation. “We put gasoline on the fire. That’s basically what the ARP did. It was almost written as if we didn’t just pass a trillion-dollar stimulus in December,” said Marc Goldwein of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.

If Democrats had any fiscal common sense, they would know that throwing money at things is how you make inflation worse.

Despite experts assuring us that ARP made inflation worse, the Biden administration ignores this evidence. On May 13th, Biden tweeted this: “You want to bring down inflation? Let’s make sure the wealthiest corporations pay their fair share.”

The Biden administration is clearly ill-equipped to deal with an economic crisis that they’ve created. “Wealthy corporations” are the new boogeyman for the left.

The Biden/Ned Lamont gas hike also continues, with the national average for gas up to $4.452. Continue to monitor the rise in gas prices here. Gas prices in CT recently jumped 19 cents in one week.

The Biden administration continues to worsen the situation after canceling a massive oil and gas lease sale in Alaska.

Biden’s Border Crisis

Almost 60% (!) of the American public disapproves of how President Biden has handled immigration policy.

Title 42 was put in place by the Trump administration during the pandemic to allow US border officials to immediately turn away migrants who attempt to enter the US. This policy helped to keep influxes of migrants at bay, but now the Biden administration seeks to lift Title 42. A recent CNN poll shows that 57% of Americans oppose lifting Title 42 at this time.

Against the will of the people, Biden wants to lift Title 42 without a policy in place to handle an increase in migration after the policy ends. The Democrats’ radical, open borders agenda will further worsen the crisis at our Southern border.

Infant Formula Shortage

"While mothers and fathers stare at empty grocery store shelves in a panic, the Biden administration is happy to provide baby formula to illegal immigrants coming across our southern border," the statement from Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the National Border Patrol Council said. This is yet another one in a long line of reckless, out-of-touch priorities from the Biden Administration when it comes to securing our border and protecting Americans.

"Republicans are America first, Democrats are America last."

Biden Approval Polling Update

A Morning Consult poll released in late April found that President Biden’s net approval rating is underwater in 40 states! Biden is at -2 net approval in Connecticut. And over the past year, Biden’s approval rating has dropped more

than 20 points.

Americans of all backgrounds and political affiliations overwhelmingly disapprove of Biden’s job performance. Even in traditionally blue states like Connecticut, Virginia, and Oregon, the president is underwater. Americans across the nation are noticing that Democratic leadership is wrong – and oftentimes dangerous – for the future of our nation.

Hispanic Voters Losing Faith in the Democratic Party

Reuters: With inflation hitting a 40-year high, all Americans are feeling its stark impacts. Hispanic voters who typically vote Democrat have begun to consider voting Republican if it means better economic leadership. “Even a small loss of support among Hispanics - a key component of the Democratic coalition of voters that brought President Joe Biden to power - could mean the loss of the House of Representatives and possibly the Senate for Democrats.”

Hispanics and other nonwhite voters are unsurprisingly losing faith in the Democratic Party. The GOP welcomes these voters with open arms – because if they are looking for common sense economic policies, they will not find it in today’s Democratic Party, a party that has been hijacked by a woke, anti-American agenda.
