NY and Connecticut Share the Same Problems and Many of the Same Solutions

My campaign is gaining recognition beyond Connecticut’s borders. Republican New York Gubernatorial candidate and Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, probably one of the most powerful Republicans in New York, has endorsed my candidacy.

In Bruce Blakeman’s speech, to supporters, he described the problems that Democrat control of New York has created.

“As I listened to him, I felt like he was describing Connecticut. Electricity prices are among the highest in the nation, taxes are among the highest in the nation, the state budget is double the size of Florida with several million less people. New York has had an exodus of hundreds of thousands of people, and more are continuing to leave. Businesses are leaving or already has left. Healthcare is too expensive, crime is rising, and criminals don’t even stay in prison due to cashless bail. New York is spending huge sums of money supporting illegal aliens to the tune of over $80,000 per year, per alien.” — Dr. Michael Goldstein

The most significant difference between Connecticut and New York is Comrade Mamdani.

Mamdani’s Communist and antisemitic ideology and policies are the cancer that is destroying New York.

Bruce talked about Mamdani’s city owned groceries that were putting Bodegas, small tax paying businesses, out of business with their own tax dollars. Mamdani wants to put landlords out of business by freezing rents, raising taxes and other landlord operating expenses until the point is reached where landlords lose money and eventually abandon buildings.

Bruce did have some positive answers. He proposes ending taxpayer subsidized solar and wind farms. He stated that in the colder parts of Upstate New York the solar panels are covered with ice, three to four months per year, and do not generate electricity. He also talked about the destruction of farmland and its replacement with solar and wind farms.

To improve energy affordability, he wants to stop the ban on fracking. The huge amount of natural gas in New York will bring tax revenue, prosperity and more natural gas to New York. If surpluses are produced the natural market for this natural gas I believe should be Connecticut and New England.

Blakeman also proposed tax relief to working and middle-class voters by exempting families with less than $100,000 in income from state income tax. This would ease the tax burden on families who are struggling to make ends meet.

Connecticut, without eliminating Democrat control, will be following the same path of Hochul and Mamdani’s New York.

It is just a matter of time for some city in Connecticut to get their own Mamdani. We have many ultraliberal voters. We are also plagued by an ultraliberal governor and a super-majority controlled legislature by the Democrats - just like New York. While we cannot get natural gas across the border, their bad ideas of their socialist legislative policies have no problems getting into our state.

The one exception is that New York at least has a few Republicans in Congress - Connecticut has none.

New York City is expected to send three (3) Democrat Socialists to Congress.

This is the direction that we are headed unless we do something about it and those in Congress now are already pandering to the DSA agenda.

Connecticut you have seen the future and it is New York. Do you really believe in socialism, do you really enjoy paying taxes so that illegal aliens can get free housing, free healthcare, spending allowances and free public-school education all at the taxpayers’ expense.

Many Connecticut residents, especially with the higher gas prices are struggling to make ends meet while their taxpayer dollars are subsidizing government supported illegals. Our priority should be helping our own citizens. Under recently signed Connecticut, passed by the Democrat controlled legislature and signed by Governor Lamont, HB 8002, single family neighborhoods will be destroyed, by free for all state mandated zoning, that allows 14 unit apartment buildings to be built on single family lots without any onsite parking.

This will destroy the equity that homeowners have accumulated in their homes.

Do you think that following New York and freezing rents on rental apartments will work? The answer is no. Landlords will not build unprofitable rental units. Landlords will not rent vacated units, it is already happening in New York, because renting will prove unprofitable. The housing shortage will worsen.

What Connecticut needs is a government focused on economic development, lowering energy costs, lowering taxes, eliminating subsidies to illegal aliens, expanding our roads so that people and businesses can travel within the state faster and more efficiently.

Unlike my opponent who votes with the Democrat party over 95% the time and who has spent two months, as a college student, with the Communists who control Nicaragua and then wrote a over 90 page essay glorifying the regime, I will resist the socialist forces in Congress.

Connecticut needs Federal Legislators who collaborate at the Federal level with the Governor and the state legislature as a team to restore greatness to the state of Connecticut.

I am running for Congress so that I harness the power and resources of the Federal Government to bring back prosperity, improve the quality of life and bring a brighter future to the people of Connecticut.
