Get in the Fight!
Connecticut’s Democrat dominance creates room for the Democrat Socialists of America (DSA) agenda to advance with little resistance.
That agenda threatens issues that we care about: Local zoning control, taxes, and already-high electricity bills. Statewide housing mandates that override town zoning decisions strip our community of the ability to shape our own neighborhoods. Higher taxes follow as spending grows without sufficient pushback. Energy policies that prioritize ideology over reliability and cost keep electricity rates among the highest in the nation without the reliability we expect.
Republican candidates matter even when they do not win every race. They force debate on these issues, constrain the most extreme proposals, and protect the practical priorities of towns like Greenwich. Supporting them with your dollars and your vote is a necessary check against policies that raise costs and reduce local control.
Connecticut is declining slowly and will continue until the tipping point becomes obvious. Voting for, donating to, and publicly backing serious Republican candidates is one of the few remaining ways to apply the brakes before that point arrives.
