School is back in session. Labor Day is Monday. And the fall campaign is no longer “coming soon.” It’s here.
This week two lifelong Republicans joined the Board of Education, Greenwich put Hartford on notice about housing mandates our utilities cannot support, campaign headquarters are ready to open on Field Point Road, and name-calling from the other side still doesn’t change the record.
Lifelong Republicans Join the Board of Education
On Monday, August 31, the Greenwich Board of Education voted 6–0 to appoint Jeffrey Csoka and Jonathan Katz to the two Republican seats left open by the resignations of Michael-Joseph Mercanti-Anthony and Wendy Vizzo Walsh. Both will serve through the November 2027 municipal election.

Greenwich is leading Connecticut on a question Hartford has avoided: whether the state’s housing mandates can be met with the water, power, and gas the towns actually have. This week First Selectman Fred Camillo convened a public forum at Town Hall with Aquarion, Eversource, and Connecticut Natural Gas — the first municipal session of its kind the utility officials said they knew of — and told the state a moratorium on zoning mandates is needed until the infrastructure can catch up.

The Greenwich Republican Town Committee announces the location of our 2026 campaign headquarters at 255 Field Point Road in Greenwich.
This is where you can come for candidate information, yard signs, car magnets and to meet other like-minded Greenwich residents.
Now through November 3rd, headquarters hours will be Tuesday–Thursday, 3:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m. and Saturday–Sunday, 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m
All registered Republicans in Greenwich are invited to join us for the grand opening on September 23 at 7:30 p.m., where we will hold our monthly RTC Meeting.

Ceremony to mark the 25th anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of 32 people with ties to Greenwich. 8–9 a.m. at Cos Cob Park. Includes remarks from First Selectman Fred Camillo.
