Thank You, Karen Krause, for your Leadership
Greenwich Republicans thank Republican Board of Education (BOE) member Karen Krause, who, as Board Secretary, designed and led the administrative process which ended in the filling of two sudden BOE vacancies in August.

Karen's leadership and professionalism is refreshing to see on the BOE and is to be applauded. |
She exercised the Secretary’s responsibilities under BOE bylaws, which include responsibility for supervising the Board Clerk.
Unsurprisingly, there were attempts to challenge, subvert and work around the bylaws-sanctioned process. They did not succeed. With 20/20 vision and a clear memory of recent partisan shenanigans, Karen did not waver. Her excellent leadership resulted in a process which was 100% transparent and which produced two highly qualified Republican appointees: Jeffrey Csoka and Jonathan Katz.
The full Board interviewed the candidates and made the appointments by vote, as Bylaw 9221 requires. Under Bylaw 9121, Karen Krause single-handedly designed and led the process which the Board successfully followed.
