Because No One Says It Enough…

07 July, 2025

A heart-felt and sincere THANK YOU to our elected and volunteer town leadership and representation — especially the Greenwich Republicans who champion things like home rule, modest taxes, and top-notch town assets and services. One wouldn't think it would be necessary to fight for such basic civic goals, but in a state controlled by a "progressive" supermajority, these things are by no means guaranteed.

Thank you to First Selectman Fred Camillo for keeping your eye on the ball and guiding Greenwich through this year's budget and statutory session. Additional thanks for standing up to the power-hungry Democrats on our BOE who improperly seized control of the board last fall and have been running roughshod over the moderate policies preferred by Greenwich voters ever since. #RememberInNovember

Thank you to BET Chair Harry Fisher! He served as the strong hand at the helm that steered Greenwich through an extremely contentious annual budget process.

Harry had his hands full this year! He led the Board through numerous challenging situations, including intra-party skirmishes, a Democrat BET-member walkout during Decision Days, a demanding BOE rigged by Democrats, and a withering pressure campaign organized by proponents of a massive school spending increase.

Spoiler alert: Harry held the line against a record tax increase; the Board of Education still got an $8 million budget increase; and Greenwich passed the largest budget in town history — all while delivering the lowest mill rate in the state of Connecticut at 12.08.

You practically have to be a magician to pull that off. Thank you, Harry, for doing a thankless job — and excelling at it!

Thank you to Sen. Ryan Fazio and Rep. Tina Courpas for leading the charge against Hartford central planners' monster housing bill that would have destroyed our town's character forever. Thank you for championing and working to properly fund education, women's health, law enforcement, and reasonable labor practices in our state. You had to do all the fighting for Greenwich yourselves, with zero support from Reps. Hector Arzeno and Steve Meskers, and we are grateful for your advocacy.
